Former Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Francis Ndegwa Muhoro is grieving the sudden loss of his son, Clive Muhoro Ndegwa, who died on September 9, 2026.
The family announced the passing on Monday, September 14, describing the loss as one they are accepting with deep sorrow and faith.
“It is with deep sorrow and God’s humble acceptance that we announce the sudden death of Clive Muhoro Ndegwa, which occurred on September 9, 2026,” read the official death notice.
Clive is survived by his parents, Ndegwa Muhoro and Damaris Kagendo Ndegwa, his siblings Cynthia Muthoni Ndegwa and Gift Edwin Kori, and cousins Ivy Muthoni, Lewis Muhoro and Stephanie Njeri.
What was Clive’s cause of death?
Reports indicate he was found dead at his home under unclear circumstances, with the family yet to disclose the cause of death.
Muhoro, who served as Kenya’s DCI boss before his diplomatic appointment, is described as visibly broken by the loss of his son.
Well-wishers and family members are gathering every evening from 5pm at the family’s Riverside residence and at the Public Service Club’s Main Hall on Mara Road in Nairobi for prayers and burial arrangements. The funeral date is yet to be announced.
