Barcelona boss, Xavi has hailed ‘difference maker’, Joao Felix after his display in his side’s La Liga 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Xavi said he was happy for the former Chelsea star, adding that he linked up well with Joao Cancelo.

Felix’s first half goal gave Barcelona the victory over Atletico at home.

“I have seen him working hard, stealing many balls, and he links up well with Cancelo on the wing”, Xavi said as per Marca after the game.

“I am happy for him, I see him happy and that makes a difference. I told him to be calm because these ‘extra motivations’ sometimes take their toll on you.

“I am delighted to have him on the team,” he said.

Felix joined Barcelona on a season long loan from Atletico which triggered criticism in Madrid despite the potential he could return to his parent club in 2024.
