Real Madrid defender, Dani Carvajal has revealed they discussed a possible Kylian Mbappe transfer in the dressing room this summer.

Carvajal admits that he thought the 24-year-old would join the LaLiga giants after he was left out of PSG’s pre-season tour to Japan.

“I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that it wasn’t discussed, but there were all kinds of opinions in the preseason after-dinner conversations. ‘Well, I think it’s coming, well I think it’s not’,” Carvajal told Relevo.

Mbappe endured a tense face-off with the French club, after he made it clear he will not sign a contract extension.

His current deal at the Parc des Princes runs out in June 2024.
