Croatia international Luka Modric has expressed delight following his contract extension at Real Madrid.

Modric, 38, will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 30, 2025, following a one-year extension of his deal.

Real Madrid announced on Wednesday via their website that the Croatian has signed to remain at the club for one more year.

He joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2012 from Tottenham Hotspur and has spent 12 hugely successful seasons at the club.

Following the announcement, Modric said (as per Madrid Xtra) that he realised a dream when he first signed for Los Blancos.

“All my dreams came true when I signed for Real Madrid,” he said.
