Rapper Lil Nas X has broken his silence after spending four days in jail for stripping n*de on a busy Los Angeles street and allegedly assaulting police officers.
The 26-year-old star, real name Montero Hill, posted a video on Instagram where he told fans the experience was “terrifying” but assured them he would be fine.
“Your girl is gonna be OK, y’all,” he said in the clip, filmed outdoors while wearing a lime green cardigan. Moments later, his eyes widened as he added, “S***. That was f***ing terrifying! That was a terrifying last four days.”
He ended by repeating, “Your girl’s gonna be all right.”
Lil Nas X was arraigned a day earlier after being hit with four felony charges, including three counts of battery with injury on a peace officer. If convicted, he faces up to five years in state prison.
The Atlanta-born artist was arrested after officers reportedly saw him walking naked down Ventura Avenue in Studio City. TMZ reported that police used a Taser to subdue him after a confrontation.
He was released on $75,000 bail and seen leaving court in a blue prison jumpsuit.
