Luanda Villa FC were on Tuesday handed a massive financial boost ahead of their Sunday’s National Super League (NSL) fixture against Naivas FC after a well wisher paid the match expenses.

This is the second time a well wisher is turning up to pay Villa’s match expenses amid financial setbacks at the Vihiga-based club.

“We lost to Mathare United FC 1-0 over the weekend and we cannot afford to lose again at home this Sunday when we meet league leaders Naivas FC at home. A well wisher has catered for all expenses for the game and it is upon the playing unit now to deliver,”Abwenje told Citizen Digital.

Abwenje also rallied fans to turn up in large numbers to support their team.

“They will pay at the gate sh. 50 while VIP will go for Sh.100 only. This gate collection will help us begin preparations for an away outing next weekend in the coastal region against Mombasa Elites FC immediately.”

Villa, who lie eighth on the log with 35 points, shared the spoils (1-1) with Naivas in the first leg held in Machakos.
