Police officers in Kawethei in Kangundo, Machakos County, are investigating the death of Charles Kituku Muthusi of Mukunike, an AIC pastor.

The preacher’s body was reportedly discovered early Tuesday morning dumped in a maize plantation, some 50 meters away from his house.

The body had head injuries, and the eyes had been gouged out.

Officers from Kawethei police post who arrived at the scene collected several pieces of rock that appeared to have been used to kill the preacher.

Additionally, police officers recovered a screw driver near the scene believed to have been part of the murder weapon.

His brother, Reverend Peter Muthusi, expressed his shock at the cold-hearted murder, saying their other brother had met a similar fate in Nairobi a while back.

Meanwhile, the body had been moved to the Kangundo Level 4 Hospital pending investigations
