Cliff Ocharo, the main suspect in the murder of Moi University student Sheryl Ohanga, has appeared before the Nyamira Law Court, where investigators requested more time to complete their inquiries.
The suspect, who appeared before Magistrate Beryl Achieng on Tuesday, was not allowed to plead to the charges after the court directed that he be detained at Nyamira Police Station for four days to allow for a mental assessment and the completion of the post-mortem examination.
The case is scheduled for mention on Friday, October 17, when the suspect is expected to be brought before the court to face murder charges.
