Kenyan boxer Majembe has dismissed claims that he sold the vehicle he won after emerging victorious in the popular Vurugu Boxing competition.

Speaking during an interview with Tony Mwirigi on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the boxer addressed speculation circulating online about the car’s whereabouts, insisting that the vehicle remains in his possession.

According to Majembe, reports suggesting that he disposed of the prize vehicle to fund the purchase of a new iPhone are completely false.

The boxer said he has repeatedly seen social media users claim that he sold the car shortly after receiving it, but maintained that there is no truth to the allegations.

“And the car I won after winning Vurugu Boxing is still there. If someone would want to buy it, I would sell it for about Ksh2.7 million. But I am not selling the car. I know a lot of people said I sold that car and bought an iPhone instead. That is a lie,” Majembe said.

He further denied another claim that has been making rounds online that his previous iPhone had been stolen during a visit to Kisumu, forcing him to purchase a replacement device.

Majembe said the story was fabricated and should not be used to explain why he recently acquired another phone.

“And people said my other iPhone was stolen in Kisumu, that is why I was buying another one, but that is a lie,” he added.

Warning to haters

Separately, the Vurugu Boxing champion revealed what he described as a unique way of dealing with people who show him hate or claim to have personal issues with him.

In a video shared on TikTok on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Majembe said he does not want ongoing hostility or prolonged disputes with anyone who feels wronged by him.

He noted that instead of continuing with hatred, such matters should be addressed directly and brought to an end.

“I don’t want ongoing hostility or prolonged issues with anyone who feels I have wronged them. If you have a problem with me, let us settle it directly and bring it to an end once and for all,” he said.

The boxer went on to say that anyone with grievances against him should meet him in an open field to settle their differences once and for all. He suggested that this would be the clearest way of resolving what he referred to as beefs without further escalation.

Majembe further stated that he is ready for any challenge from those willing to confront him, insisting that he is prepared to face them directly if they set a date.

He also expressed that he does not see the need for hatred, saying he prefers issues to be resolved openly rather than carried forward as grudges.

“I do not want forgiveness. If anyone has a grievance against me, they should set a date. I am ready for any challenge, and I prefer we resolve things openly rather than living with hatred,” he said.
