First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has penned a heartwarming message to President William Ruto on Father’s Day. In her social media post, she praised Ruto for fostering a joyful family environment and for his wholehearted love for their children.

“To my dear Bill, you bring so much joy and love into our children’s lives. I am eternally grateful for the sacrifices you make for them every step of the way as a father. Happy Father’s Day!” she wrote.

In her message to her own father, Mama Rachel said:

“May this special day be filled with love, laughter, and all the things that bring you joy. You deserve it! To my father, thank you for being my rock and my mentor. I thank God for the gift of a great father.”

She equally shared a goodwill message to all fathers even as families celebrate their own in different ways.
“Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers in our nation! You have been there for us through thick and thin; you have taught us to be strong and kind and to never give up. You have shown us what it means to be a true hero,” she said.

Father’s Day is marked on June 16 every year.
It is a day used to honour one’s father, as well as fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.
The holiday complements similar celebrations honouring family members, such as Mother’s Day.
