Police in Kiambu have arrested a man believed to be the boyfriend of a woman whose dead body was found stashed in a suitcase and dumped outside a residential house at Kamakis in Ruiru.

The suspect aged 28 was arrested after he took the authorities to a shop where he bought the sack before stuffing his lover’s remains and dumping it only 500 meters from where they lived.

Police say the two who were working as a cashier and chef at a local joint within Kamakis had a domestic squable when the man hit the deceased on the head killing her instantly.

The suspect says he killed his lover on Monday, April 17, 2023, but kept her dead body in the house before dumping it where the neighbors recovered it.

The body which was stashed in a suitcase was found on Tuesday, April 18.

During the operation, the suspect also led the police to Mukuyu in Murang’a where they recovered the deceased mobile handset from the suspect’s cousin.
