Residents of Marura village in Kamahoha, Murang’a County were on Tuesday shocked to find over 30 slaughtered donkeys in the house of one of their neighbours.

This was discovered as they were helping push a van ferrying some of the meat from the house after it got stuck in the mud.

They suspect this has been going on for some time now.

According to the Maragua Assistant Police Commissioner Gitonga Murungi, the driver of the van revealed they were ferrying the slaughtered donkeys to Nairobi’s Kayole area upon arrest.
