Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has insisted that the Red Devils have bigger priorities than winning the UEFA Europa League.

Speaking ahead of Man United’s Europa League clash with Real Sociedad on Thursday, Amorim said that building a team is more important for the club.

“People see the Europa League as the only competition we can win, as well as a route to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League,” Amorim said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“But to tell you the truth, I think we have bigger things to focus on. I know it sounds strange to say that, but what we are trying to build here is more important than winning a cup at this moment.”

Meanwhile, Man United are currently 14th in the Premier League table and were recently eliminated from the FA Cup by Fulham.
