A suspect who pleaded guilty to causing disturbances by insulting his neighbours begged the court to have mercy on him after he was slapped with a Ksh10,000 fine.

The court heard that Michael Ndung’u insulted his neighbour and another woman.

In the incident, the suspect allegedly hit the iron sheets of his neighbour’s house as he was heading to bed. When put to task on why he was being a nuisance, Ndung’u hurled unprintable insults at the complainant.

The commotion attracted the complainant’s neighbour who also questioned the suspects’ mannerisms. She was also shut off with insults.

While appearing before Magistrate Philip Mutua, Ndung’u pleaded with the court to be lenient on him since he was disabled. He claimed that he had acted on emotions.

“I acted out of emotions, I am very sorry and as the court can see I am a disabled man hence have mercy on me,” he pleaded.

His efforts to beg the court went futile after the court told him to have mercy on himself.

“Who told you that since you are a disabled man you can do what you want to do, please have mercy on yourself before we can have mercy on you,” the magistrate.
