Police in Nakuru are in pursuit of a man for allegedly stabbing his wife to death.

In a statement on Sunday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said Thomas Njuguna is believed to have killed his 41-year-old wife in cold blood on March 3 over marital disputes.

Winnie Chepkurui’s body, the report added, was found soaked in a pool of blood in her children’s bedroom, with multiple stab wounds on her belly, chest and face.

Njuguna is believed to have fled his home after the incident.

DCI added that further investigations have revealed that Njuguna has been sending death threats to his relatives who have since taken custody of his children.

Members of the public have been urged to forward any information relating to the suspect’s whereabouts.

Meanwhile, a manhunt is ongoing to apprehend the suspect who is still at large.
