There was drama outside the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi on November 29, 2023, when police arrested a celebrity and his wife over a child molestation incident.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Karen Plains estate in Lang’ata.

In a twist of events, the well-built Robert Budi, a bodybuilder, actor and media personality, shook off the police officers who advanced towards him to effect an arrest for violating the child’s rights.

Budi was arrested together with his wife Wendy Kimingi, outside the High Court.

They are set to be charged at the Kibera Law Courts.

Police eventually overpowered Budi and handcuffed him before escorting him to Karen Police Station where he was detained awaiting arraignment in court.

Budi, donning a white T-shirt, a green pair of trousers, and a white canvas pair of shoes, covered his face, supposedly in shame, as he was escorted outside the court premises.

The dramatic arrest occurred soon after Budi and Wendy left the court premises where they had attended a court case.
