Four suspects were on Sunday apprehended in Moyale, Marsabit County following an operation by Transnational Organized Crime detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The arrests, which were made separately, led to the recovery of two firearms and live rounds of ammunition.

The first two suspects identified as Dhenge Guyo Molu and Kotor Ali Jillo were intercepted at Sessi area.

DCI reports that a pistol, Ksh.83,000 and 169,995 Ethiopian Birr believed to have been stolen were recovered from the duo upon search.

The motorcycle they were using was also impounded and the suspects were taken to Moyale Police Station pending further action.

The second operation was a botched robbery which led to the arrest of Kelisa Dulacha Guyo and Wario Ana Halake.

DCI says that the two were cornered at a shop within Hilo Gold mine after a shopkeeper made a distress call.

Upon search, a rifle loaded with six live rounds was recovered.
