Citizen TV presenter Mashirima Kapombe left fans and followers concerned on Thursday, September 3, after sharing a funeral announcement on her social media with no accompanying caption, signalling she had been touched by a personal loss.

The obituary announced the death of James Mwendwa Mbindo, who passed away on Thursday, August 27.

He was 41 years old.

James was described in the obituary as a devoted husband and a cherished father to two children.

He is also survived by his siblings.

Over the course of his career, James built an impressive professional record, having worked across several notable companies in Kenya’s telecommunications and agricultural sectors. His employers included KTDA, Yu Telecommunications, Airtel Kenya, Telkom, and most recently MESH.

Friends and relatives were called to gather at Express Lounge in Imara Daima for prayers and funeral arrangements ahead of the burial, which was scheduled for Saturday, September 5.

James was set to be laid to rest in Mulala Division, Ngetha Sub-location, Makueni County.
