She called out those trolling Sanaipei to stop, adding that the decorated singer is underrated.
“As a woman, do you feel pressured by how you look and what you wear? Honestly, the trolling of Sanaipei Tande should stop. In fact, I think she’s underrated,” she stated.
The legendary singer and actress has shaped Kenya’s music scene for years with her collaboration with Jua Cali, Kwaheri remaining an iconic hit that defined an era in entertainment.
Losing shows after turning down advances
Success came with sacrifice as well as challenges as she shared in a past interview, detailing how she lost shows after turning down advances from male promoters.
“I lost shows because a promoter tells you they would like you to go to Naivasha and perform, and we agree, there is M-PESA, so they send me the deposit, and they want it to be a thing, can we hang out or have drinks?” she said back in 2022.

“There is such a casualness that’s in the industry that I couldn’t deal with, so I lost a lot of shows and a lot of girls would tell me that if you want a DJ to play your songs, you have to…do a little something with him,” she added.
