According to Mosiria, the training will be conducted by an internationally recognised boxing coach, with the goal of sharpening Mbavu Destroyer’s skills, improving his fitness, and instilling the discipline required to compete at a higher level.

He said the focus is not just participation, but victory.

“As I promised earlier to support Mbavu Destroyer, today we met, and I have officially enrolled him in a one-month intensive training programme to prepare for the upcoming competition against Majembe. We are going to prepare for nothing less than victory,” he added.

Mosiria further stated that he will fully sponsor the training and continue supporting Mbavu Destroyer’s journey every step of the way.

He expressed confidence that with proper guidance, focus, and determination, the fighter will perform well and make his supporters proud.

Mbavu Destroyer gains support

The announcement comes a day after Mosiria publicly pledged long-term support for Mbavu Destroyer, including mentorship and opportunities beyond the ring.

He previously said the fighter would not return to casual construction work, noting that the support system around him is meant to provide a stable career path and sustainable livelihood.

Mosiria praised Mbavu Destroyer’s raw talent and determination, noting that while his fighting style has largely been shaped by street experiences, professional training will help refine his technique for the ring.

He said the one-month programme is critical in transforming that raw ability into structured boxing skills.

The fight between Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer, scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026, has grown from online banter into a national spectacle.

With professional training now confirmed, anticipation is expected to rise further as fans await what many are calling one of the most talked-about boxing matches in recent times.
