Mejja entertains his fans in Dubai with electrifying performance

Musician Mejja thrilled scores of Kenyan music fans with his genge tunes in a club in Dubai.

The Kanairo Dating singer jetted out of Kenya to Dubai to perform in a popular club frequented by Africans.

Mejja announced he had landed in Dubai and was excited to meet his Kenyan fanbase living in Dubai.

“What’s up my people maze, I know most of you have never heard me talk in English, but I’m in Dubai ” he shared the good news.

He performed Sunday, March 19th at the Culture Club Golden Tulip Hotel Al Barsha 1 for Afro-Fusion day. He hit the stage minutes before midnight, belting out his popular songs.

“Watu wangu let’s meet at the club, I’m so happy to be in Dubai, let’s meet Im with the Dj here, it’s gonna be amazing, it’s gonna be mad you guy” he shouted a message.

Clubgoers were thrilled to show the musician how they party Dubai style.

Mejja recently returned to the stage after a two-month hiatus following vocal cord issues. He announced at the beginning of March that he was back.

He was resting following his doctor’s advice. He had been coughing up blood and sought medical attention. He said it was from a recurrent sore throat.

In August 2022, Okwonko canceled a concert in Australia over the same matter.

He informed fans that he was struggling and had gone to the doctor for an injection which sadly did not make him feel any better.

“I apologize from deep inside my heart for not delivering with energy coz of the pain I was fighting. Thank you and God bless” he shared.

He had performed in four other Australian cities before announcing his pain.

He said that he ignored the symptoms until one day when he saw spots of blood after clearing his throat, adding that he could no longer talk or shout for extended periods of time.
