Gengetone Star Mejja has revealed that he has been diagnosed with a throat condition and has been advised to refrain from singing until he has recovered.
“I have been having issues with my throat, when I was in Australia I had a flu and could not get access to medicine and I was performing every day. When I came back the pain was on and off even after taking over-the-counter drugs,” Meja said.
The ‘utawezana’ hitmaker went on to reveal that earlier in the year, he noticed blood in his sputum, prompting him to seek specialized medical care.
The unexplained condition has made it impossible to hit the high pitch because his voice cracks.
He revealed that he is still able to record songs- albeit those with a low pitch.
