President William Ruto on Saturday, April 22 launched the tarmacking of Kaelo-Kamukunji-Mutuati road in Igembe North, Meru County.
Speaking during the event, the President said the road will enable and accelerate trade in Meru and the neighbouring counties.
“We will unlock our economic potential through the construction, expansion, improvement, and maintenance of road networks across Kenya.
“Quality infrastructure will ease transport, improve connectivity, and ease accessibility, especially for rural areas,” he said.
Later addressed residents of Laare at Nkiriana Primary School in the company of Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, and several MPs led by Majority Leader Kimani Ichungw’ah.
