Former Arsenal and Real Madrid star, Mesut Ozil has picked his greatest player ever between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Ozil, who was teammates with Ronaldo at Real Madrid, said it was a tough decision to make selecting the best from both football icons.

He, however, opted for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi, simply because the Argentina international has won the World Cup.

Messi led Argentina to 2022 FIFA World Cup glory in Qatar.

Ozil was recently asked to share his take on the Ronaldo-Messi debate. He said:

“It’s a difficult question.. but I will choose Messi, because he won the World Cup,” as quoted by Sportskeeda.

Before now, Ozil had always picked Ronaldo over Messi.
