Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has compared both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo and Messi are widely regarded as two of the best players in football history.

Both forwards have scored over 800 goals for club and country and have won many individual and team titles galore.

They are still going strong despite being on the wrong side of 30.

Messi currently plays for MLS side Inter Miami, while Ronaldo plays for Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr.

On the EAFC 24 This or That segment, Ferdinand said: “Oh wow Ronaldo’s points are way lesser than Messi.

“I think it is a bigger difference than what it should be. On these stats you have to go with Messi. If I am picking the team for the game, I am going for Messi,” he said.

“Yes, he [Messi] has been great, he has been flying but can’t go against Cristiano though. If I am going for one game, a cup final, then I am going for Cristiano.”
