Gengetone-turned-Mugithi artiste Peter Miracle Baby has opened up about the reason he frequently shares shirtless videos on social media despite bearing visible scars from the major surgery that saved his life.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Thursday, August 6, 2026, the musician responded to questions from fans who had repeatedly asked why he often appears shirtless in his videos instead of covering the scars left behind by his recent surgeries.
According to Miracle Baby, he has grown to love his scars because they remind him of the difficult journey he endured and the miracle of surviving against the odds.
The singer explained that every time he looks at the scars, he is reminded that God remains able to perform miracles, adding that he hopes those who see them draw the same encouragement.
“I have seen many people asking me why I love to do my videos shirtless and post videos like that. The reason is that I love my scars. I love them because they remind me about many things, including the fact that God is able. Every time I do that, some people see it, and they also remember that if that is what Miracle Baby underwent, then God can do,” he said.
Miracle Baby further disclosed that his shirtless videos are also intended to encourage people who have undergone similar life-changing surgeries and are struggling to accept their bodies.
He revealed that he regularly interacts with patients who use colostomy and ileostomy bags, many of whom continue to battle low self-esteem even after recovering from their illnesses.
The artiste said he occasionally receives the specialised bags from well-wishers and distributes them free of charge to patients who cannot afford them.
“The second reason is that there are people who still use these bags I was using when I was sick. They are called colostomy bags and ileostomy bags. Sometimes I give these people the bags for free when I am lucky enough to get someone who gives them to me for free,” he explained.
Miracle Baby noted that through his interactions with such patients, he has realised that many fear exposing their bodies because of the scars left behind by surgery.
According to him, the emotional burden of living with surgical scars often leaves many patients feeling isolated and less confident about themselves.
“So now you see these people struggle with acceptance, and they say when they heal, they do not want people to see their scars. They have very low self-esteem. So I post shirtless content to give hope to these kinds of people,” he added.
The musician stressed that no one should be ashamed of scars resulting from medical procedures, insisting they are symbols of survival rather than something to hide.
“I do not like seeing people who have surgery scars like me hating themselves. We are all like other people. My scars are beautiful,” he concluded.
