Monday blackout to affect 3 counties

Kenya Power has announced a temporary blackout scheduled for Monday, April 22, affecting three counties.

In a statement released on Sunday, the utility company attributed the blackout to routine network maintenance.

In Nairobi County, the blackout will impact a portion of Parklands from 9:00 am. to 5:00 pm., specifically affecting areas such as Limuru Rd, 6th Parklands, Legal Plaza, and adjacent customers.

In the South Nyanza Region, parts of Nyamira County will experience a blackout from 9:00 am. to 11:00 am.

Residents in areas including Mogeni, Sanganyi, Ikonge, Nyankono, Erekenyo, Obwari, Nyamusi, Gekendo, Kebabe, Yaya Centre, Biego, Nyaramba, and adjacent customers will be affected.

Additionally, parts of Homabay County will undergo a blackout from 9:00 am. to 3:00 pm.

This will include areas like Asumbi, Rangwe, and Nyawita, impacting residents in Rangwe, Randung, Asumbi, Namba, Oluso, Pala Masogo, Wikoteng, Nyawita, and adjacent customers.
