New Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho has promised the club’s fans that he ‘belongs to their family.’

Mourinho was officially presented as the new coach of the Turkish Super Lig club on Sunday.

Thousands attended the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul to watch the signing ceremony.

Speaking after his unveiling, Mourinho said: “Normally a coach is loved after victories.

“In this case I feel that I am loved before the victories.

“That is a big responsibility that I feel. I promise you from this moment, I belong to your family. This shirt is my skin.”

Mourinho replaces Ismail Kartal, who left Fenerbahce on Friday after they finished second in the league to city rivals Galatasaray.

The 61-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by AS Roma in January after two-and-a-half seasons in charge.
