Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has seemingly squashed his ‘beef’ with Bomet Woman Representative Linet Chepkorir alias Toto.
The two were photographed together in Bomet county during prophet David Owuor’s crusade on Sunday, February 19.
Taking to Twitter, Salasya expressed his gratitude to county legislators including Toto for a warm reception.
“What a successful day and a blessed one when I joined thousands of thousands of ministry of repentance at Bomet stadium THANK YOU SO MUCH GOVERNOR @BarchokHillary HON @LinetChepkorir_ Toto Area MP of chepalungu “@VictorMandazi For making me feel at home in Bomet,” he tweeted.
Salasya reacts to Toto’s engagement
This comes barely days after Salasya fronted as a ‘proud man’ while reacting to Toto’s engagement on Valentine’s day.
Taking to Twitter, Salasya congratulated his fellow lawmaker and promised to attend her wedding.
At the same time, while maintaining that Toto should respect former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Salasya withdrew his previous sentiments where he had threatened to impregnate her for alleged disrespect.
“Yes yesYoung gal has definitely done it honourably congratulations @LinetChepkorir_sasa sitafanya ile kitu but ka heshima tu kidogo kwa baba Raila na tutakuwa marafiki wakubwa tena sana sawa…All the best harusi lazima nikuje sasa,” he tweeted.
This comes amid ongoing debate and mounting pressure on the MP to apologize for his statement on Sunday, February 12, 2023, when he was speaking during Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance rally in Busia.
Salasya lamented that some young politicians showed no respect to Raila and singled out Toto whom he threatened to impregnate.
“Alafu wale vijana vidogo ambao wanatusi Baba, kuna kengine kalichaguliwa kama hakana pesa kama Peter Salasya kanaitwa Toto. Kanaongea ati kwa Baba, ntakaweka mimba huko next week,” Salasya said.
Toto rattled Azimio’s supporters when a video of her emerged slamming Raila for leading anti-government protests.
“Nataka tu kusema jambo moja kwa Mzee Raila Odinga. Huyu mzee alianza siasa yake ya maandamano na siasa ya duni ata kabla sijazaliwa. Alianza siasa yake mwaka wa 1997 wakati sikua nimezaliwa. Akakuja 2002, akakuja 2007, akakuja 2017 sahi ako 2022 na anasema alifanyiwa nini? Aliibiwa. Nataka nikuambie yakwamba mheshimiwa wetu rais Ruto hawa watu wa Kenya walimpigia kura na walimchagua kama rais wao wa tano,” Toto said.
