The National Assembly has approved the nomination of Geoffrey Ruku and Hanna Wendot Cheptumo as Cabinet Secretaries.

Ruku and Cheptumo, after oath taking, will assume the office of Public Service and Gender CS respectively. The two were vetted by the National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments on

Monday where they were questioned on key issues in their ministries and past positions held.

Among President William Ruto’s latest nominees was Stephen Isaboke, who was touted for the position of ICT Principal Secretary.

On Wednesday, the National Assembly ICT Committee recommended re-assignment of Isaboke from ICT Ministry upon taking oath of office over conflict of interest.

The nominees awaiting swearing in were appointed by Ruto in latest cabinet changes that saw Justin Muturi axed from the Public Service docket.

This was after Muturi’s fallout with Ruto where the later demanded answers on abductions in the country, as Ruto accused him of abandoning his mandate as CS.
