Police in Mt Elgon are detaining a GSU officer for allegedly defiling a 17-year-old girl at her home village of Chepkurkur in Kopsiro area.
The minor, a Form Two student at Chepkurkur Secondary School was reported caught pants down with the officer inside a brothel.
According to police reports, the girl’s uncle got wind of news that her niece was in a nearby brothel with the officer after the girl was sent home to collect school fees.
Following the incident, angry residents stormed the brothel and frog matched the pair to Kipsigon Police Station.
The duo was later transferred from the station to Kopsiro with the police fearing for their lives.
Kopsiro OCPD Justus Njeru confirmed the incident saying a probe is underway to establish whether the girl was defiled by the officer.
