Mugiithi artiste Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, has brought joy to his family by reuniting with them in the United States.
The father of five landed in Boston, Massachusetts, where his family warmly welcomed him at the airport.
In a series of heartwarming photos shared on his first daughter’s Instagram page, Samidoh embraces his three children, Shirleen, Michael, and Wairimu, passionately.
The joyous reunion was captured in candid moments as the family posed for pictures, marking a significant moment in their lives.
Samidoh appeared delighted, and the children wore smiles on their faces.
“Wow, what a beautiful day! My daddy is finally here; we missed you Daddy. Welcome to Boston,” a caption on his daughter’s Instagram post read.
Samidoh’s wife, Edday Nderitu, had relocated to the United States in April 2023, forging a new chapter in her life.
However, in June 2023, Edday made it clear that she had no intentions of reconciling with Samidoh, the father of her three children.
The revelation unfolded on social media when a concerned fan, Kamau Mpesa, disapproved of Edday’s host, Bernice, advocating for Edday’s return to her husband.
Edday, in response, urged the fan to revisit a previous lengthy post she had made in February, where she candidly expressed her reservations about raising her children in a polygamous marriage.
In the heartfelt post, Edday detailed the challenges faced during their 15-year marriage, acknowledging the ups and downs they had weathered together.
Despite enduring disrespect, humiliation, and online trolling, Edday had remained faithful to Samidoh.
Samidoh has two other children with nominated senator, Karen Nyamu.
Edday firmly stated her unwillingness to subject her children to a polygamous family dynamic, particularly with a woman significantly older than her and lacking moral values and respect.
“I have asked God every day to give me the strength to pray for you, but today I have nothing to tell God about you. You have dragged and put me and my kids in an ocean of pain. May you remember this day. #nothingbutprayers #eddaynderitu,” read part of Edday’s poignant post from February.
Samidoh is presently taking a hiatus from music until February as communicated by his manager, Moses Marite.
