Murkomen responds after images of woman stripped n*k3d over busfare go viral

Transport and Roads Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen issued a response after images of a deaf-mute lady who was stripped n@ked in a matatu went viral.

In a statement responding to the photos, the Transport CS assured the victim that investigations were ongoing and pledged to give an update on the matter.

“Investigations on this matter are ongoing and I will update the nation soon,” the CS said.

In the incident that left a section of Kenyans shocked, the tout of the matatu operating along the Nairobi-Meru route allegedly stripped the lady naked after she was unable to express herself about the bus fare charged.

According to the images shared by a social media user, the lady is seen attempting to cover herself as she seats with a bare chest and her panty slightly pushed downward.

“Luxury shuttle services has done an inhumane act which should not be entertained at any cost, they have just stripped naked a lady who is a deaf mute simply because she couldn’t express herself on the issue fare, this act should be condemned by every means,” the post reads in parts.

Several Kenyans have called on the relevant authorities to respond swiftly and arrest those involved in the unfortunate incident.
