Murugi Munyi reveals how she met her husband

Social media influencer Murugi Munyi has shared the story of how she met her husband, Zack Munyi.

During a question-and-answer session with her fans on Instagram, Murugi, after she was asked where she and Zack first met, revealed that their love story began at the workplace.

She explained that they were colleagues in the corporate world, with their desks literally opposite each other.

The influencer further said it was only a matter of time before a connection sparked between them.

“Where did you and Zack meet?” a fan asked.

“At work. He was my colleague when we both worked in the corporate; our desks were literally directly opposite each other. it was only a matter of time, really,” Murugi answered.

Their relationship, which started with casual workplace interactions, eventually blossomed into love, leading to marriage.

Marriage anniversary

This revelation comes after the couple celebrated their eighth year of marriage on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

Marking their special day, Murugi took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute, reflecting on their journey together.

In her post, Murugi reminisced about their wedding night in 2017, describing how she was both pregnant and exhausted, while Munyi was equally tired but filled with excitement. She pointed out how no one talks about the sheer exhaustion that comes with the wedding day’s events.

Capturing the depth of their bond, Murugi affectionately referred to Munyi as her “Rhino” and her “King,” reaffirming her love and devotion to him.

“Before the iPhone, This pic was taken on our wedding night exactly 8 years ago to this day. 11th March 2017. I was pregnant and tired, he was excited and also tired. No talks about how tiring weddings are lol. Happy 8th anniversary my love Munyi, my Rhino, my King. In this life and the next, I choose you,” she wrote.
