Content creator Murugi Munyi has opened up about the practical ways individuals can transform their lives by consciously shaping their daily habits.

Taking to her Instagram on Thursday, February 19, 2026, she explained that personal growth begins not by waiting for success, but by acting like the person you want to become today.

Munyi shared that one of the most influential pieces of advice she ever saw online, on TikTok or in a short video reel, radically transformed her mindset.

She recalled that envisioning the kind of person you want to be, whether it’s as a professional, parent, or entrepreneur, is only the first step.

Understanding daily habits

She emphasised that this process involves examining the everyday routines, priorities, and behaviours of that ideal self.

“Now, start acting like you’re that person today,” she said.

“What does their day look like? What do their mornings look like? Who do they spend time with? What do they eat? How do they work out? Start being that person immediately, because that person got to where they are by doing those things consistently,” she questioned.

To illustrate, Munyi reflected on her fitness journey. When starting out, she asked herself, “What does a super-fit woman do?”

She explained that such a person is consistent, disciplined, invests in her fitness journey, goes to a gym she enjoys, and engages with the gym community to make workouts fun.

By embodying these habits early, Munyi said, she moved closer to her fitness goals.

“I don’t consider myself super fit yet, but I feel fit-adjacent. I’m definitely fitter than the average person,” she noted.

Munyi also applied this principle beyond fitness. She suggested thinking about the type of high-achieving or refined person you want to emulate.

“Start by assessing that person’s day-to-day life, their habits, their routines, the way they carry themselves,” she said. By acting as that person now, even in small ways, you begin becoming the person you aspire to be.

She further emphasised consistency and intentionality. “It’s the daily choices you make that shape who you are,” Munyi said.

She encouraged followers to start immediately, noting that transformation isn’t about waiting; it’s about taking deliberate actions every day.
