Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has pledged to support a street model who recently caught his attention in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).

The young woman, who has been making rounds online for her confident cut-walk performances in the city streets, creatively styled her hair with Mosiria’s name boldly displayed at the top. The artistic gesture appeared to be her way of seeking his attention and support.

In a video shared on his social media pages on Monday, February 23, 2026, Mosiria acknowledged the model’s effort and expressed willingness to help her nurture her talent. He said he was ready to step in and support her modelling journey if she needed assistance.

Mosiria also noted that he had been informed that the model is an environmentalist. He added that if that is the case, he would be open to working with her on environmental conservation initiatives, including tree-planting activities across the county.

Hii pia mtasema nini? Anyway, if she needs our support to model and continue nurturing her talent, I will step in. Someone told me she is an environmentalist, so we shall plant trees together. Na tupande miti ama vipi, majamaa?” Mosiria questioned.

The controversial County Chief has been recognised for humanitarian efforts in the city. In recent weeks, he rescued a sick street man found near State House Avenue, organised medical treatment and care for the young man, and appealed for support from his family to reconnect.

However, Mosiria’s actions have not been without controversy. He faced intense online backlash for his involvement in the viral case of Marion Naipei, a woman whose private video circulated widely after being filmed without her consent.

Mosiria publicly defended Naipei’s rights and criticised the spread of non-consensual content, arguing that forcing and sharing such material is unlawful and a violation of human dignity. His stance on the matter drew sharp criticism from some corners online, including media personality Andrew Kibe, who warned Mosiria that Marion would eventually turn on him and throw him under the bus.

He also called for Mosiria’s removal from office, accusing him of fabricating lies in the scandal involving Marion.

Mosiria later said he stepped aside from the matter in part because of public pressure and to allow formal investigations to proceed.
