A 7-month-old baby died on Wednesday, May 10 after falling from fifth floor of a building on Kirinyaga Road, Nairobi.

In a police report seen by K24 Digital, the father of the baby said she slipped from her epileptic mother’s hands.

“The baby’s father Ahmed Laal said the wife, who is epileptic was carrying the child at the balcony of their Orbit House residence when she experienced the attack and lost control.

“The child, Umaira Ahmed, slipped and fell from the fifth floor to the ground, sustaining serious injuries,” the report read in part.
Baby’s body preserved

She was rushed to Park Road Nursing Home where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

“Police action was taken and body moved to Pangani Mosque cold house for preservation,” police added.
