Following a day of unrest and protests in Nairobi city, calm has returned as normalcy begins to settle. The protests, sparked by the Finance Bill, led to day-long confrontations between demonstrators and security officers, causing temporary disruptions and road closures in several parts of the city.

Despite the stabilization, a contingent of GSU officers remains stationed around parliament buildings to ensure security, with a team of anti-riot officers positioned around KICC.

At least four water cannons have been strategically placed along Parliament Road to prevent any potential flare-ups. Roads that were closed during the day have now reopened, allowing traffic and business activities to resume.

Businesses, initially disrupted by the unrest, have started returning to their daily routines, and Nairobi City county workers have been seen collecting waste materials and cleaning up the town.
