Nairobi United is determined to secure promotion to the top-tier Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) next season.

Team captain, Isaac Ouma, expressed confidence in the club’s progress, praising the management for their unwavering support in keeping the team on track to achieve their goal.

Speaking about their current performance, Ouma stressed the importance of hard work and results.

“The club leadership, led by Governor Johnson Sakaja, has done an excellent job ensuring we have everything we need. Now it’s up to us to perform on the pitch and secure promotion,” said Ouma, who clarified that his call for improved results is not pressure but a motivating factor for the team.

Currently sitting second in the National Super League (NSL) standings with 31 points from 16 matches, Nairobi United trails leaders ,APS Bomet, by just one point.

Governor Johnson Sakaja has pledged full support for Nairobi United’s Premier League ambitions.

During an event to unveil new kits and equipment for the team, the Governor assured the squad of continued backing and urged them to stay focused on their goal.

“We’re heading into the second leg of the NSL, and I’m confident we’ll make it to the Premier League,” said Sakaja.

“We have welcomed new players and bonded as a family. I’ve encouraged the team to be resilient, stay strong, support one another, and never give up.”

Along with unveiling the new kits, Sakaja announced that outstanding allowances had been cleared and introduced Nicholas Muyoti as the team’s new head coach.

With strong leadership backing and renewed determination, Nairobi United is poised for a determined push for promotion in the second leg of the NSL.
