Bungoma-based Milima Queens will be out to stage an upset when they take on Premier League side Nakuru City Queens on Saturday, in an FKF Cup round of 16 tie.
Milima Queens head coach Saul Munyole says it will be an exciting match for his side, and are happy to be carrying the underdog tag into it.
Although he acknowledges Nakuru enjoy the experience of big stage football, he is not allowing panic in his players.
“We are confident, a game of football presents equal opportunities and nothing can stop us from going for three points. The girls are thoroughly prepared for the task. They look confident because we have been winning in our latest outings.
“I would like to urge our supporters to come out and rally behind the team, we are the home team and that gives us an upper hand in this tie,” Munyole said.
He continued: “Our girls are in good shape. We do not have injury concerns in the playing unit, let the fans show and be sure of value for their time. We are fired up and everyone is thinking of progressing in the Cup competition.”
The match will start at 1:00pm EAT, at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County.
