Nakuru man on the run after strangling his children in a forest

Police in Kuresoi North have launched man hunt for a father in who is believed to have killed his 8 year-old son by strangulation and attempting to kill his 6-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter.

The incident happened in a forest at Nyota Village in Kuresoi North.

According to residents who spoke to Citizen Digital, the father was last seen with the three minors heading towards the forest.

Minutes later two children were found unconscious and one had already died.

Kuresoi North Police Commander Judah Gathenge confirmed the incident, saying they identified strangulation marks on the deceased and one of the child who was rescued.

The two minors are currently receiving medical attention at the Molo Sub-county Hospital, in Nakuru.

Molo hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Susan Wanjiku says the children are in stable condition, as the body of the deceased was moved to Molo Sub-county hospital mortuary.
