Content creator Naomi Kuria has appealed to her fans for help after being caught up in confusion following the sudden closure of an airline she had booked to fly her back to Nairobi.

Speaking in a video alongside her best friend, Diana Daisy, on Monday, March 2, 2026, Naomi explained that she was scheduled to travel back to Kenya by the end of the week, but the airline she was set to use has reportedly shut down operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“So guys, again we are caught up. This airline closure is affecting me. I was supposed to fly back to Nairobi by the end of this week, and the airline I was supposed to use is the one experiencing closure in the UAE,” Naomi said.

She revealed that the situation has left her uncertain whether to initiate a refund process, which may take time, or to book a new flight quickly amid rising ticket prices.

“We have not received any positive feedback from the airline. They are just saying they have closed, and if you want to initiate a refund, you can, so that you may travel with another airline,” she added.

Naomi noted that with no clarity on whether the situation will improve, she is considering booking the fastest available flight back home. However, the available options are proving challenging.

According to her, Kenya Airways does not operate flights to Bali, while Ethiopian Airlines tickets are currently priced at over Ksh129,000 one way.

Diana Daisy also urged followers to help by sharing possible solutions.

“Guys, if you know you can give us a solution, please comment down below or DM Naomi or me to help a girl because she needs to go back to Kenya to attend to some urgent things,” Diana said.

Indonesia

This comes a few days after the two were held by immigration officers in Jakarta, Indonesia, after arriving in the country for what appeared to be a routine visit.

On Wednesday, February 23, 2026, Naomi Kuria shared on her Instagram account the unexpected turn of events shortly after their arrival.

According to her, the two had complied with all the required travel procedures before and upon landing.

“So guys, we have been held at Jakarta immigration after providing everything — our tickets. We had already applied for our visas na tukalipa, because it’s visa on arrival. After filling in the arrival card, we have literally done everything. After showing them the hotel that we are going to, our return ticket to Malaysia, then the guy is like, ‘Can you come with me?’ Then tuko hapa. We don’t know our fate,” she said in the video.
