FKF Women Premier League champions Police Bullets have intensified their preparations ahead of their clash against Bungoma Queens at the Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday.

Under the stewardship of the new tactician David Vijago, the law enforcers rose to the summit of the log with 12 points, two clear of second placed Vihiga Queens following a huge 9-1 win against Kisumu All Starlets last weekend.

Vijago said they are focused to retain their title this season and he urged his charges to stay focused and win all their fixtures to fulfil the dream.

“The girls Started the season on a high note and I believe they are ready to face Bungoma. Our match against Bungoma will not be a walk in the park because our opponents has won one match, drew one with two losses and they will be aiming to redeem themselves from the goalless draw against Kayole last weekend so I’m urging my player to work hard.”

However, Vijago who replaced Beldine Odemba as police head coach a month ago from Kibera Soccer Ladies will miss the services of his two key players who picked nocks in the last fixture.

“It’s too bad that we will be missing the services of my two key players Lucy Kwekwe and Rebecca Odato who have been lethal to the squad this season but we will replace them accordingly.  Our aim is to retain the league and I believe we will achieve them dream if we continue working hard and win matches”

His opposite number Godffrey Mabonga acknowledged that Police are hard to beat but they are focused to harvest maximum points.

“They won 9-1 against Kisumu but they should know that we play a totally different game compared to Kisumu so they should expect fireworks from us. My whole squad is intact with only one inclusion (Immaculate ) who we acquired from Kisumu Girls High School and that gives them a good chance to jell. We will need to sign more players but later not now,” he said.

Other fixtures on Saturday will see Zetech taking on Vihiga Queens at Zetech University Grounds in Mangu, Gideon Starlets will play Kisumu All Starlets at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay as Ulinzi Starlets will meet Trinity at their backyard (Ulinzi Sport Complex).
