The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has launched a search for a matatu whose tout was caught on video pushing out a passenger.

The road agency’s probe came after the viral video showed the female tout throwing out the female passenger off the bus after a disagreement over bus fare.

Despite throwing her out, the two continue engaging in an exchange of words, the victim could be heard defending herself that she had paid the bus fare, however, the tout could hear none of it.

“Achana na mimi, nimelipa fare,(I have paid the bus fare, leave me alone)” the victim pleaded

“Kuja hapa (come here),” the tout aggressively responds as she drags her out of the bus.

She subsequently asked for the passenger’s belongings from her seat and threw them outside.

The unfortunate event unfolded before a traffic police officer who seemed unbothered by the whole incident.

NTSA has since asked members of the public to avail details of the vehicle’s registration number to aid in investigations.

“Good morning. Kindly share with us the registration number of the vehicle,” NTSA wrote.

The latest comes barely a week after a 17-year-old boy was allegedly thrown out of an Embassava bus plying along Outering Road by a tout.

The minor lost his life after the same bus ran over him.

According to multiple reports, the incident occurred after the tout had an altercation with the minor over a shortage of busfare.

The tout was arrested and is currently awaiting charges.
