Media personality and stand-up comedian Steve Thompson Maghana, widely known as Oga Obinna, has clashed with Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, over boxer Mbavu Destroyer ahead of his upcoming match with Majembe.
Speaking on Monday night, February 9, 2026, during his live show recording, Obinna revealed that he has a beef with Mosiria and accused him of misusing the Mbavu Destroyer content.
According to Obinna, Mosiria went ahead and created content with Mbavu Destroyer, adding that Mosiria enrolled Mbavu Destroyer in a boxing academy and went ahead to tell him and his manager that if he wins, he would pay the trainer Ksh 200,000 out of the Ksh 1 million prize.
“Niko na beef na Mosiria, wacha niseme initoke wacha kutumia Mbavu Destroyer vibaya,” Obinna said.
“Do you know what Mosiria did? Mosiria alienda akachukua Mbavu Destroyer akafanya na yeye content alafu akasema anamlipia trainer then Mosiria is telling Mbavu Destroyer akiwa na manager wake that anataka huyo mtu awatrain then akiwin hiyo Ksh 1million atapatia huyo trainer Ksh200,000.”
Obinna expressed disappointment at Mosiria’s actions, saying he did not expect such behaviour from him.
“Personally, I did not expect that from Mosiria, Mosiria do better if you want to help, help if you don’t want to, wachana,” Obinna added.
Mosiria on Mbavu
This comes after Mosiria enrolled Mbavu Destroyer in a private boxing academy ahead of his high-stakes match against Majembe.
While confirming the development via a statement on his social media accounts on Monday, February 9, 2026, Mosiria stated that the move is necessary to sharpen Mbavu’s skills, as he also benefits from training and mentorship.
“Today, I officially enrolled Mbavu Destroyer in a private boxing academy where athletes receive professional training and mentorship to sharpen their skills. This step is aimed at fully equipping him ahead of his highly anticipated boxing match against Majembe.
Mosiria promised to support the boxer in his preparation, exuding confidence that he will floor Majembe in the highly anticipated boxing match.
“I will personally support him with everything necessary to ensure he gets the best preparation possible and steps into the ring confident, strong, and ready to win.
