On Tuesday, February 7th, a section of the members of parliament from the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM), held talks with President William Ruto at State House.

MPs who joined Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua for the breakfast include Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Shakeel Shabir (Kisumu East, Independent) Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o (Lang’ata), Paul Abuor (Rongo), John Owino (Awendo) and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda.

Notably, the MPs (except Langata’s Jalang’o) are from Luo Nyanza.

Ruto’s meeting with MPs allied to Raila Odinga comes after a similar one with those from President Uhuru’s Jubilee party in January.
