Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) youth league Secretary John Ole Ketora has thrown his weight behind party leader Oburu Odinga’s call for pre-election negotiations.

Speaking in Machakos, Ketora emphasized the youth league’s commitment to pursuing talks, citing the need for coalitions in Kenya’s diverse political landscape.

“There’s no single party that can rule this country. There must be negotiations and coalitions,” Ketora said.

Ketora added that they welcome negotiations within broad based government and there is no single party that can rule Kenya.

The youth league leader is also backing Catherine Omanyi’s nomination as acting Secretary-General, with a demand for the inclusion of young leaders into the party Central Committee.

“We are the majority and must be heard. We have forwarded two names for inclusion in the Party Central Committee, “said Ketora.

Ketora also added that the youth league is following up on the release of Ksh. 12 billion owed to the party.
