Oga Obinna has said he will still go to State House despite the criticism and talks surrounding his plan to take Mbavu Destroyer and Majembe to State House after the Vurugu bout.
On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, he insisted that the visit would happen whether people agreed or not. He insisted that the visit would go on whether people supported it or not.
“Babu kwa sababu!! Mimi ndio sifuna!! Period!! Statehouse nayo tunaenda wapende ,wasipende,” Oga Obinna said.
He further explained that the visit to State House is already in motion and will not be cancelled due to outside pressure. He added that people will have to accept the situation as it is.

“Boxers wapewe zao maisha iendelee,” Oga Obinna said.
Obinna also said that when the time for campaigns comes, he will openly declare his political direction. He explained that he will not hide his position and will speak clearly when the moment arrives. He highlighted that people should be ready for his decision when it is made public.
“Na wakati pia ukifika wa campaign ntakuja tu wazi wazi na niamue ni mrengo upi ntaufwata, mtulie ntawapanga,” Oga Obinna said.
Mwakideu’s comments
This comes after radio host Alex Mwakideu questioned why Oga Obinna was facing criticism over his planned State House visit. He said the reactions from Kenyans have been mixed, with some supporting him and others attacking him online. He explained that the issue has created a heated discussion on social media.

He noted that Oga Obinna had earlier shared a video announcing his intention to visit State House.
“Obinna mwenyewe alitengeneza video na akaambia wakenya, naenda State House, napeleka ma boxers State House. Na msiweke siasa, kwenye hii kuenda kwangu. Na kama alivyosema tu ametrend kwenye X kweli kweli. Alijua tu,” Alex Mwakideu said.
Mwakideu further said the video has gone viral and continues to attract strong reactions online. He explained that some people are defending Obinna while others are strongly opposing him. According to him, the situation has raised a bigger question about public figures and political expression.
