On his second day of the United States state visit, President William Ruto is set to engage with Grammy Awards officials and hold discussions with creatives, Kenyans in Hollywood, and international artists at the Tyler Perry Studios.

Accompanied by a Kenyan delegation including creatives Kate Actress and Eddie Butita, Ruto will tour the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

The day’s schedule includes a visit to the Atlanta University Centre for the signing of exchange programs agreements with various universities and technical colleges in both the USA and Kenya. Later, at the Coca-Cola headquarters, Ruto is expected to finalize an investment deal before showcasing successful Kenyan businesses operating abroad.

President Ruto departed from Kenya on Sunday night, bidding farewell to his deputy Rigathi Gachagua at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Upon arrival in the US on Monday, he commenced his four-day state visit with various engagements, including the signing of a significant health agreement.

Attending a forum titled ‘Transforming the Kenya-US Health Partnership’ at the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, Ruto witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between CDC and the Kenya Medical Research Institute, the Ministry of Health, and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.

He announced the signing of the deal via his official social media channels on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Furthermore, Ruto interacted with Kenyans residing in the US at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. During this engagement, he highlighted Kenya’s efforts in diaspora registration and skill mapping, aimed at facilitating the placement of more Kenyans in productive employment opportunities abroad.
