One person has died, and ten others were injured after a lorry lost control and rammed into vehicles, motorbikes and bystanders in Migori town on Wednesday afternoon.

Confirming the incident, Suna East Sub-county police commander Essau Ochorokodi said seven casualties were seriously injured while three others suffered soft tissue injuries.

The lorry was heading to Sirare town.

Police officers are currently at the accident scene, and casualties are receiving treatment in the Migori County Referral Hospital.

The accident occurred just a few metres from the spot where another lorry killed eight during the Easter holidays.
